air bag
well i'm in a stand still with the idea of bagging my truck I want to so i can get that look, smooth ride, and something to do but I don't think i want to because im afraid of tearing up my tires and the price i looked at this

4100 bucks now i grew up on a farm and worked on semis my whole life and know that bags and a compressor are not that much I could make up some kinda 4 link for a decent price. is this just because its a ready to go kit or what?
Im not wanting to lay frame or tuck 26's or anything like that what do you all think? I haven't seen very many bagged 04-08s maybe ill just get new leafs and be happy that way

Bagging a truck is definitely awesome as long as you keep in mind that it will be made to YOUR tastes and needs. Even if that means youll get bashed on by the general crowd.
Baggin it so that it gets that really slammed look and raises up to stock height for driving is absolutely doable and makes perfect sense. It will look cool to anyone that hasnt seen that before, but be ready to take the heat by the bagged guys. The motto is to go low so it tucks wheel and lays frame. Thats pretty much entry level, then come body drops and back-halfs... etc.
Bottom line is be ready to get bitten by the bug, and spend way more than you initially thought. This is one reason i refuse to bag my Screw, i need the clearance, and would love to bag just to get really low then raise it, but i wont be able to take the criticism when people tell me, "that doesnt lay!" I would jump all in and have to lay it out on the frame. Thats why i have decided to bag my mini instead.
All the BS aside though, if you are familiar with air ride, can weld well, and have some basic knowledge of suspension components then it should come pretty easily to build an air adjustable suspension with a budget. Source out all the components and build your own triangulated four link and your ahead of the game.
IF you do proceed, good luck, and dont forget to post progress. Theres a few of us here who will keep up with it and give you helpfull pointers along your build.
