I paid $500 at a custom shop for a similar job. Front springs, rear leafs, shackles and shocks. Exhaust and gas tank had to be removed and/or lowered. Sounded reasonable to me. - Og

Wow, I've installed two different buddies of mine's drops on their trucks for basically free. They helped and bought some beer and wings and we were good!

Both cases we installed 2/4 drops on an 03 and a 01. Shackles, hangers and coils in front. I actually ended up helping one guy add new A-arms a month later.

Hmmm, maybe I should have charged them??? Oh well, too late now.

^^I know a few people like that also. These guys I helped are decent dudes. I would charge if I even decided to help a person like you're talking about.

Im glad to know im not the only sucker.
I honestly would charge someone to do something as basic as a lowering kit (no spindles/ LCAs, just springs up front) probably about 50 bucks but he pays for pizza and beer and has to help. Not stand around and look help but get his *** down there and move a leaf help. That would have to be a FRIEND. i dont consider anyone out of that category a friend, just an acquaintance. Then again i dont have friends that wouldnt get dirty for me. A friend of a friend would get charged X3 what i would charge my friend or 4X if he/she didnt help. Damn thats still cheap!
But yea a shop would charge a good penny.
guess im a cheap laborer. No wonder they wanna send the messicans out of here lol.
