22's are going on saturday!

So guys, im doing it!

I'm losing the damn leveling kit and 33x12.5x18's for some 22's! wrapped in 305/45r22

My question is, how low can i go with that size tire? and will i rub?

I'm 2wd, I'm thinking about just removing my rear blocks to bring it level with the front, are there any disadvantages to that?

I know this could be in the wheels or suspension forums, but lowering questions don't usually get answered i there, it's all lift this, mud that.

lol not really.

i originally wanted to lower my truck but the price to level and put on 33's was cheaper and it drew me in.

after 2 months im gona go back and do it right the way i wanted to.

but thanks man! im trading a guy on this site, so it should be pretty cool!!

You now what would look good w/ 22's......

MY FOOSE VALANCE!!!!!! You never got back to me.....you want it or not? Make me an offer if you do.

Best bet is to put the new wheels on and then figure out what's going to rub where. You gave us tire specs but you didn't give us rims specs. That's more crucial to fittment than anything. You won't have any problems if you remove the rear block, if you even have one. Most 2wd's don't, but I'm sure you knew that.

That may be the case for the 97-03 models but the 04-08 2wd's w/ the towing package came w/ a 1" block if I'm not mistaken as did the FX2 model.

Some did, some didn't, mine didn't.

Your tires will be 32.8", basically a 33" tire, makes it tough to go lower. My 305-40-22 tires are 31.6" and they fit fine on a 2/4 drop. You may want to go with drop shackles only.

Man, Drew. What a transformation! Hard to believe this is the same truck. Good job, dude! Planning a trip out to Fontana to visit my brother in August. Want to go out to visit Foose Designs in Huntington Beach. Maybe I'll try to look you up. - Og
