Eibach or ROUSH struts and shocks?

i'm running the eibach 2/3 kit with 275/55/R20 rubber. here's the question: eibach pro dampers or the struts and shocks from the ROUSH full suspension kit?
performance first
then comfortability

Eibach. Designed to be mated with the drop kit. Keep it consistent. - Og

I went with Eibach. I believe the Roush shocks are made by Bilstein. I believe seller Roush Overstock has Roush dampers for 4x2 trucks on ebay.

the ROUSH kit is also designed for a 2/3 drop. and yes, roush overstock is where i found the components.
so how much did the pro damper kit help your cornering?

I noticed better control because of the Eibach drop kit and I'm sure the Pro-Dampers help being designed to work with the drop. IMO, if you go Roush, just go with the shocks Roush recommends. Again, I would keep either choice you make consistent. - Og

Mine has the Roush kit (duh!). I love it. This Supercrew handles better than my Mustang in the twisties. I kid you not.

Not sure how the eibach handles so comparing the two is impossible for me.

The whole kit. Sway bars, bushings, connectors Front springs and rear springs. The works. It came this way from the dealership so I don't know if it's the same kit as they sell today, but I'm sure it's the same or close. Mine's 4x2 and it's a tad lower up front.

I helped my neighbor out on his kit (Supercab instead of Supercrew) and we just love to push these in the twisties. Even though mine's a Supercrew, his slides a little more. Must be heavier as he has 4x4, 22's (305's), and a 6' bed. Well, that and I trump him another 145 ponies.

Just when you think the trucks heading for a slide the springs get more agressive and you can literally throw it into the apex like you would a sports car. When I first went nose first 65 on a 25 MPH curve it was an interesting ride. A little scary but lots of fun!

Just make sure you get enough meat under there. Go at least 275 or wider on the wheels and try to stay close to original wheel height.

Kit number is: R06000005.

Cheapest place is Woodhouse:

that's awesome! exactly how i want my truck to ride. i have 275/55/R20 tires. (i have the same ROUSH wheels as you). I have the eibach 2/3 pro truck kit which is the same drop height as the roush. i might just go with the ROUSH shocks(which are made by bilstein right?) and eventually get the sway bars to really keep her locked down. in the pic of the roush kit i only see one sway bar. is it for the front or rear? and also, do you have both front and rear?

I have 4x2 which rides at least 1" lower than 4x4 all around. Mine also comes with Bilsteins and so does the kit. There is only one sway bar, and that's up front. it replaces the stock one. The sway bar also comes with new links which are a different angle than the stock ones. I've been looking for a rear sway bar but have yet to find anything decent.

It's not really the shocks that make the Roush suspension excellent, it's the springs. Roush springs are progressive and shorter up front and dropped in the rear. That means no shackles out back and a nice smooth ride until you really get into a turn. I have absolutely no towing loss and have been able to tow as much as 8500 lbs safely with little bed sag.

The full kit is my recommendation. Everything is tuned together. Once you go piecemeal things get out of wack. But bear in mind a full 6.6" bed or 4x4 will make the suspension work harder. You may not get the full bennies out of the suspension that I do, much like my neighbor found out. Even so his truck drives like a sports car and it's still AOK.

Roush suspension kit

I realize the last post to this thread was in july but I was interested in the opinions of this system. I just purchased the Roush kit for my 05 Screw 4x4. got a great deal off ebay $700. including shipping. The shocks and struts are made by SACHS . this is my second set of shocks/ struts from this manufacturer. I am presently running the ones made by them for the stock ride height. They were an improvement over stock. I also got a great deal on them off ebay $95.00 for front and back including shipping as well. I am running the Hellwig rear bar now. It helps but I believe the benefits of the Roush kit is what Im after. Hellwig is a great co. to deal with. They sent me new bushings and hardware at no cost to me, when I purchased the kit used. Gotta love free stuff. Ive been thinking about adding the Roush 1.5 " drop shackle to the kit to make the rear a 4.4" drop. Roush tells me this is what they did on the 09 Nightmare. Any opinions on doing this on my 4x4.? I have the crew with the 5.5 ft. bed ================ ===========
