OgRedd got his truck detailed.

I hope he doesn't mind me posting these. The detailer that he used (best I know) posts pictures of alot of his jobs on a local racing forum. He posted these today. This truck looks so good, I thought that you guys needed to see it.

20+ hours in this truck.

Chris04v6 03-30-2009 06:06 PM

good lord i love his truck

did the guy say what products he used/process?

Capbyrd 03-30-2009 06:12 PM

I could ask him but that could turn into a very lengthy and detailed post. As he said, he had 20 man hours in Og's truck. I will post a basic wash and dry how to that he posted in the detailing forum. Wait a minute and I will give a link!

This is just basic wash info but im sure he spent several hours doing this process before ever breaking out the detailing tools.

Chris04v6 03-30-2009 06:21 PM

the man has skills, no doubt.

OgRedd 03-30-2009 07:00 PM

Holy $#!t! Who truck is that??? - Og

Capbyrd 03-30-2009 07:07 PM

Rollin fresh bubba. Keep that thing in the garage until the rain goes away!

Stealth 03-30-2009 07:14 PM

Hallelujah!!!!! There is hope for my truck after all!!!!!! :bows:

Sweet, Og!!! Looks great!

OgRedd 03-30-2009 07:23 PM

Thanks, Cap, for posting these. I asked Joe about you and he said you were a pure car guy. He did an excellent job. I couldn't be more pleased. Think I'm going to let him maintain the paint once every 3 or 4 months. I was killing the paint by washing the truck directly in sunlight at high noon. Joe recommended that I wash it early morning or late afternoon. He told me he'd be posting pics, you just beat me to them! :o Thanks for all the compliments, guys. Cap, thanks again for the post, dude. - Og

zeruin 03-30-2009 11:40 PM

Og do ya mind me asking how much a full detail like that cost you? (feel free to pm me if you're not comfortable with disclosing the price)

I'd like to get my truck a full workover like that every year or so..

Patman 03-30-2009 11:59 PM

looking good OG, IMO the rear needs to go down just like 1/2"

blackedoutV6 03-31-2009 12:15 AM

I was wondering the cost too, a 20 hour detail cannot be cheap. And paying a detailer like that, im sure he would want a VERY shiny penny for his work.

stoffer 03-31-2009 02:16 AM

Og that looks sharp

OgRedd 03-31-2009 06:10 AM

$450 total. Exterior and interior detail. Not too bad for the results I got. Joe did an awesome job. - Og

I think so, too. But I think I'm finished with the suspension, other than waiting on Eibach for new sway bars. The rake isn't so bad. Besides, I've gotten use to the ride. Forget about me, let's see some pics of the new build, dude! - Og

the rake is only easy to point out because of the bed cover, i bet if you went to an even lower profile cover like snug top, you wouldnt notice the rake so much.

My new truck is on hold until i find suitable employment :coffee:

I was tempted to install a 300 pound WillyBar system in the bed to aid with the ride and the rear stance. Not sure if it would be worth it. Don't know much about it, but I'm researching.

When has not having "suitable employment" ever stopped a hardcore car junkie like you? :D - Og

mxracer49 03-31-2009 10:22 AM

Truck looks amazing. But I have to say the orange peel on our F series trucks DRIVES ME NUTS!

You know you've made it when someone designs a sig for you for free. Nice! I'm working on one, but keep 'em coming. Me likey! :rocker: - Og

Patman 03-31-2009 10:26 AM

well im still going to do stuff, just wont be buying parts for it....

That willybar isnt what you need, i think you would be happier with a little more drop and air helper bags.

Airbags. Never considered that. I'm saving for sway bars, slotted/drilled rotors, pads, air intake and headers. After all of that, then maybe I'll circle back around to the suspension, if I can't find a decent supercharger. :D Thanks, Pat. - Og

Patman 03-31-2009 10:45 AM

if you do rear helper bags you wont need the sway bar ;)

Definitely something I will consider. Thanks for the idea, Pat. - Og

Bluejay 03-31-2009 10:48 AM

With it lowered and the wider wheels/tires, I would not thing there is much sway, anyways.

Isn't the Roush charger still cheap on ebay through their outlet? Regardless, hit up the guys at Dynospeed Racing. They might have a takeoff from a GT500 that you could get.
