Cool Lowered the ranger (d/d)

HI!... Well I lowered the Ranger a few weeks ago with the help of fellow member JMC. About a month ago I bought a set of lowering "PORK CHOPS" from MAXXSUSPENSION. They were $199.95(U.S) but since I was the 1ST one to get them they gave them to me for $149.99(U.S). You can lower the front end in 3 steps *or* raise the front end in 3 steps. So I lowered the front end with the 2 inch but it ended up around 3 inches. The rear I removed the lifting blocks which lowered the rear 2 inches. Then I removed the rear shackles and swapped sides with them. Basically turning them upside down. This lowered the rear an additional 3.5 inches. So total drop was 3 inches up front and 5.5 inches in the rear. I shimmed the rearend to get it back to -1/-2 degrees with some spare shims I had in the garage. It still rides exactly like it did stock but handles the twisties a 100 times better with basically no body roll. Here's a few pics :

Here's the stock ride height :

Now this is with the 3/5.5 inch drop :

Looks good, I like it. The drop makes the fender flares look bigger with the removal of the wheel well gap, an optical illusion I suppose.

Cool

HI!... Actually I'm going with the "SLEEPER" look for this truck. My STREET SCENE roll pan just arrived and will be getting painted and installed soon. As for the rims, I'm getting another set identical to the stock ones but WELDCRAFT will be widening the rears to 10-11 inches and I will be running NITTO 325/50/R-15's and the fronts will be getting narrowed to 4.5 inches and I will be running M&H 185/75/R-15's. I also have C/E drag shocks, x-cal-2 tuned by TROYER, 3200 stall converter, custom built S/S long tuber headers, custom exhaust, Richmond 4.10 gears, TRANSGO shift kit, and some intake porting to do before spring gets here. Shooting for a high 13 second E.T in N/A trim.

I'd come up just an inch on the rear. It looks squatty but looks good for a sleeper that is.

HI!... It looks squatty in the rear due to the rear tires are 28 inches tall and the fronts are still at 29 inches. That will change soon. I'm getting new tires for the front that are 28 inches tall.

Neal, quit messing with that ranger and get back to work on that F-150

now you need 20" wheels and a turbo for the ranger

Shackle flip is really common to drop the rear. OP, did you de-crank the t-bars or did you flip the keys?
