Brand of tires?

Ok I have just gone through a set of General Grabber UHP's like they were made of styrofoam or something. I got a whopping 20K miles out of them. Can any one please recommend a good brand of tire? These absolutley sucked.

I would love a set of BFGoodrich KDWs but that aint happening right now. The guy at Discount Tire was trying to sell me on Yokohama Paradas for $175 a piece. Thats about the price range I am looking at.....tire size is 285/50/20. Any opinions appreciated.

I have Toyo Proxes S/T's and they're a well built tire for the street. I like them and they grip nicely wet and dry. The tread is uni-directional though.

Well i have the Ziex S/TZ04 & they are great better than my stock Perillis.I went with 305/50/20 & cost me $550.00 for all 4 brand new mount & balance w/nitrogen air.I've had them for about a month now & so far really good tires.

I have the 420s in 285/40/22 xl. They suprised me with how good of traction they have

I've put them on ALOT of suvs/trucks. Pirellis are also common but i don't care for them.

Considering in a michelin boy and the nittos made me happy i'd say that means something.

Michelin doesn't make big sizes

I ran Avon Tech ST tires 285-50-20 for about 6 months, loved everything about them, no flat spots reason to complain about traction, I used while towing my camper trailer as well XL load rating did just fine. Very affordable from the tirerack $153 each and they are ranked #2 out of 12 sport truck tires.

Here is a shot of mine after 4000 miles.

What about Cooper Zeon XST? I had some Cooper mud terrain's on my old Jeep, they were on for 9 years and still worked great, even off-road.

I sell coopers too.

The ltz is also a very good tire. I don't care much for the cooper sport though, I can't get them to wear right on anything

Those Nitto NT 420 S do look very cool. I also read where you can rotate these front, back, side to side....thats a bonus as well.....

They're wearing at an acceptable rate for me, I have about 14,000 miles on them. I'll take a picture later.
