2004 Reg Cab V8

What up guys? Here's the situation I have a 2004 regular cab V8 that is 100% stock (from tires and wheels to the interior). To start off I just wanted some opinions on where to start on making my truck look a little better. I was thinking about starting with wheels, tires, and the whole leveling situation. I for sure want to lower it some, and level it out, so that the back doesn't sit higher than the front. Honeslty ANY opinions are appreciated at this time, so throw some at me. On, a side note, if any of you guys are from the Houston,TX area, do you know a place to fix me up with a decent paint job, and maybe some interior electrical work? Pretend like my truck is yours...where would YOU start? Thanks for all the help!

you could start out with a lowering kit and wheels.i went the other way i started with the interior and then modded the engine. i am waiting awhile before i lower mine
look at my gallery i have done some mods to it and it's the same style as yours. as far as a good paint shop you got me i do most of my own painting

Thanks mellow. But, do you think you can be a little bit more specific. What kind of wheels/tires do you recommend. What size would fit, say a slight drop of the truck? How many inches would drop it slightly, so it's noticable but not too low? What kind of drop manufacturer would you purchase? Thanks again for all the help guys, I appreciate it

I would start off with a simple something like drop shackles, they will lower the rear to sit level with the front. From there maybe go wheels/tires, and after that is done, start with the engine. Maybe throw some audio somewhere in there. And later on, come back and lower it alittle more.

Rear drop shackles are a good starter, they're cheap, REALLY easy to install and level out the truck. Height wise they lower the rear end 1" or 2" depending on what bolt hole you use. 2" will level out your truck.

20's as far as rims go are an all around good size if you're looking to lower only slightly, and keep the tire diameter the same as stock. That's what I did but with a 2" drop up front, 5" drop out back and 22" rims. As you can see that's a pretty decent amount of drop though.
