Eibach 2/3 6,000 miles later

Hey all,

I've had the Eibach 2/3 kit and Bilstein struts/shocks on for almost 6,000 miles now and I'm happy with it. I've been thinking about going another inch lower in the back and got some good info on here from y'all ... thanks for that . From my experience it was money well spent, the truck handles much better, ride is good, no bottoming or tire rubs. I have a two-piece driveshaft but haven't had any issues with vibration so I didn't do the carrier bearing kit. My alignment was too far out after the drop to use the stock adjuster bolts. I ended up using a NAPA kit (pn. 264-3677), it cost about $58.00 but they had it in stock and no freight charges ! I did the install myself and instead of dropping the tank and exhaust to clear the front leaf spring eye bolts I just cut em off and got replacements from a local frame and spring shop ... big time saver. I took the struts to NTB to have the springs compressed and new coils installed, they did it while I waited and the cost was reasonable. I decided on 285/50/20's because I haul dirt bikes in my truck and needed a little more sidewall for the bumpy dirt roads where I park when I go riding. I still have the factory bump stops on, seems like theres plenty of room under there so I never used the ones that came with the kit. Next mods will be sway bars and exhaust.

I think since you only went 3" is why you had no vibe issues with the 2pc drive shaft. I had to do the bearing relocation bracket, that was fun.

I went with the McGaughy's bracket, the bracket was top notch, the template was a POS.
