I have had both and liked each of them. What it comes down to is how you are setting your truck up.

i would recommend you to the shop that did the work on mine but its way over here in Cali. ha. Find a shop that has bagged f150s. its easier to bagg chevys cuz the f150s (pre-04) are narrower in the front and the rear so it takes more work and money to do it. dependin on your rim size is where the price will vary. if you want the truck to lay out on the ground it will cost more. i went all out on mine. and got the 6 link rear for the better smoothest ride possible. check out the build pics in my albums. i was very picky with what shop i wanted to go to because when it comes to the suspension, you need someone that knows what they are doing and someone who will not take any short cuts. when you find a shop do your homework on them. talk to customers that have had work done there. thats how i made my decision with my truck. i did my homework.

Slam Specialties is all i will ever run on my truck. reason being.....it has internal bumpstops (so u can ride at lower air pressure without destroying the bags). it does'nt balloon up when aired up.(it stays the same diameter as advertised..IE: 7inch bag will always be at 7inch when aired out or inflated) Slam Specialties bags has more stroke useable.

a lil info from the Slam Specialties site
Slam Specialties high quality, high performance AirSprings are available in 4 sizes and 3 pressure models. All models are size and bolt pattern compatible with Firestone air springs. Size and bolt pattern is where the similarity ends. Slam Specialties line of AirSprings are constructed with steel bead rings within specially-designed dual-end closure plates. All plates are permanently bonded (instead of clamped or crimped) to a technically advanced non-ballooning rubber bellows, making it virtually impossible for the plates to separate from the rubber - even unrestrained at maximum pressure.

These technological advances in design provide an AirSpring that give improved performance in all areas.

Higher pressure: More than twice that of other manufactures.
More stroke: Useable from its absolute minimum to its absolute maximum
No Ballooning: All models are at their maximum diameter at zero pressure, and as their stroke increases the diameter decreases.
Faster Lift: 1/2-inch ports and no ballooning means all the force goes up, you get faster lift with lower pressure.
Internal bump stops: This standard feature keeps Slam Specialtiesfrom self-destructing at zero pressure.
Stronger and stiffer: No more uncontrolled bouncing or swaying while driving. In fact, if installed properly, Slam Specialties AirSprings will equal the ride of a luxury car.
Competition: Superior performance to hop higher measured in feet not inches, dance faster, and give more stroke to clear those 24s.

Model RE-7

Diameter @ Max PSI 7"
Max PSI 200

Well finally got around to doing this..

Money has been super tight to do this.

Ordered:

KP 4 Link Kit
8 Piece Notch
Slam Specialties RE7's
Upper and lower Bag Mounts
Shocks and Mounts
3/8 Air line, Valves and Fittings

Dont seem like much. But jeasus it adds up fast. Still have to get 2 compressors and gonna measure room for either 2 5gal or 3 gal tanks tommorow

For future refrence. you guys running bags or the air ride shockwaves on the front? Bag cups? Drop spindles?

I'd recommend (2) 5 gallon tanks; but if you do that then I recommend running (3) compressors.

I'm running Conitec bags in the front, with cups, stock spindles and DJM upper & lower CAs with MOOG ball joints. I currently have Slams RE-7s in the rear, but I just ordered a set of HE-7s that I'm waiting to arrive.
