Your info is right on point

on the topic of cold weather, and the valves, sandog is right, run the valves higher than the bottom of the tank. some say you'll be able to run a drain at the bottom to get rid of the moisture, but i found that doesn't work all of the time. I ran air brake line anti-freeze, dumped about a cup in there and it was good almost all winter. even without a drain it will evaporate all the moisture that will lock up your valves.

ok thanks guys so I'll remount the valves higher. I am really new to all of this so what exactly is the "air brake line anti-freeze" and where do i put it. I also read somewhere of an water separator? I new i had to drain the tank but its good to have more info.

Thanks again guys

P.S. what are the best places For air suspension parts.

you can get it at any truck stop, like Pilot, or places like that. you'll want to dump all the air out of the tank, and just pour it in from the top, basically so it sits in the bottom of the tank. water seperators are good for moving air, like in between the compressors and the tank, but condensation still forms with different air temps.

Hey drew - your rust problem is ALOT smaller than you think

I found this thread from an s10 site. it talked about the antifreeze stuff. Everyone uses Gunk, what do you think? http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f125/a...is-bad-326484/

i could see how they say it eats away at the o-rings, but the valves freeze with the smallest amount of moisture, trust me. they'll freeze shut, and in a couple cases, they've froze open on me. the anti-freeze sucks all the moisture out of the air.

that drain is pretty good, but with every cycle of the compressors, you're pushing air into the tank. you may not have the opportunity to get all the moisture out before they freeze.

believe it or not, those s-10 guys know a lot, and a lot of it can be worked into our systems (with a grain of salt)

Mount the valves out of direct elements, and if you set it up properly, you will not need much in the way of antifreeze. Mine are mounted behind my rear bumper, and have not froze yet. It has been pretty cold here. The main thing is keep them higher than the tank. Also, air suspension parts can be found alot of places, but the cheapest and best in stock supply I have found at www.suicidedoors.com The guys there are cool and know their stuff. I have bought alot from them from my last truck that I bagged. I am also working on baggin my 65 lincoln, so I will need some more parts from them soon. Good Luck Chris!

Finally getting the system put in!!!! It should be done by tomorrow night hopefully if everything goes smoothly. the problem they were having was taking out the drivers side leaf spring. while taking out the bolt to remove the spring it was hitting the gas tank preventing it from coming out. oh well we had to cut it... here are some pics
