Lowering a 2007 FX2 Supercab

Hey all, I've been researching ways to lower my truck now for weeks. I really would like a GF kit, but it's too pricey and thus out of the question.

I take it all 2007 2wd trucks have a 1 inch block in the back? So if I wanted a 2/4 drop, all I would need to buy is a 2/3 lowering kit? However, some trucks look like they haven't been lowered even after a 2/4 drop.

I have been looking at the 3.5/5 DJM kit, and was concerned about wheel clearance. I have the stock 20 inch rims w/ the pirelli tires... which if memory serves me correct, they are 275/55/20

Besides the DJM, I have been looking at the 2/3 or the 2/4 Eibach kit, but run into the same problem of not being low enough.

I also want to keep a slight rake so my rear is slightly higher than the front.

Here's a pic of my 06. It has a 2/3 Roush kit and 2" rear shackles. So really its 5 in the rear. I have 20" wheels with 285/50's, hope that helps. My sits exactly level all the way around with this setup. I searched for over 2 months before deciding on a kit, I know its a tough choice. Good luck![IMG][/IMG]

Nice truck, looks pretty sick! The only problem I'd have with that drop is the rear appears to be lower than the front. Thanks alot for the picture tho! Did you have a rear 1 inch block in the back??

I didn't have a 1" block, atleast that I noticed!LOL The truck measures 34 3/4" at all 4 wheel wells. Thats from a flat level surface to the top center of the wheel wells. I'm glad to see someone else going thru what I went thru making a choice on which kit to buy!!!!!!!!!! I have a friend who has the same truck and his sits 1/2" higher than mine, go figure! Hope that confuses you more!LOL

haha ic... all the wheel wells are the same height eh? Guess that means I'll want my rear wheel wells to be something like .5-1 inch higher in the rear. What exhaust you running? Roush as well? I'm looking into the roush offroad for my truck.

Here is my truck:

Nice looking truck, I really love those FX2's! Your truck's gonna look really sharp lowered. I have the Roush exhuast and love it, I have been really impressed with there stuff so far. Having owned other aftermarket Ford vehicles, Roush is pretty darn good. If I was you I would do the Roush 2/3 kit and use the bottom bolt hole on the GF shackles. That should put you 1/2"-1" higher than mine in the rear.

Also, 4thF150, what rims are those? I like those alot! And I'm leaning toward the Eibach kit styxnpicks b/c the GF and Roush kits are soooo pricey. I really don't like the flip kit on the DJM either, but I like the front control arms.

I have an 08 Harley truck, with the stock 22" rims, a DJM 3.5/5 drop with no problems. Much easier to get in an out of too...

Here check out this thread. I've got an '07 FX2 Supercab also and made a project log for when I put on a rear air assist kit and a 2/4.5 McGaughy's lowering kit.
