i think the 3/4 would look better the truck sits level with the 3/4, and besides the lower the better any way. i had belltech springs and djm shackles and hangers. i never changed the shocks and mine didnt ride that bad.

I would go 2/4 its hard to get the camber angles within tolerances on a 3" coil

Jeff i still say groundforce > belltech

i didnt have any alignment issues with my 3/4 drop. the only thing i had to do was get the new camber keys, but the shop told me that a lot of trucks had to have them anyway without being lowered.

This may sound stupid, but like I said I'm new to all the lowering stuff, what is a camber and how much are they?

camber is the degree of angle that your wheels are leaning in or out. usually when you lower a truck you get negative camber and it will wear the insides of your tires before the outside. the camber keys allow for more adjustment so you can get the correct camber. i think i paid about $200 to get my truck aligned after i lowered it that was with them putting in the new camber keys, but i also had 20" wheels and Kaufman tire charges a $100 to just align a vehicle with 20" wheels or bigger.

So that's another $200 on top of the price for a drop kit
That sucks!

When I bought my truck three years ago it came with a 3/5 in drop. It handles very good for a truck, and I feel the drop gives it a nice aggressive stance.

It all depends. I went to a place where a buddy works, and it was only 40 bucks for my alignment, and he knows what he's doing, and that's their regular price. Mine has a 3/4 belltech kit with 22s. I couldn't be happier.

Thanks, the 3/4 is what I really want with some 20s.

I did also opt to spend the extra 50 bucks for the kit with the better shocks also. It's probably worth it.

Is that the Nitro Drop 2 shocks or the street performance shocks?

This is the exact kit I got, has the NitroActive shocks, very nice shocks.

Edit: And they don't show it, but it does come with the alignment kit, too. I had bought a seperate alignment kit because it was a suggested part, then everything got here and I ended up with 2 alignment kits.

Thanks, that is what I have been looking at, but I would like to have the new twin tube Nitro drop 2 shocks with it. I wonder if they would trade them out? Also, what all is part of the alignment kit(parts)? I'm new at lowering and all the terms and parts.

Thanks!
