Looking to do a minimal drop

From doing a little reading on here I see that the best way to level the rear with the front is with GF 2" shackles. What I am wanting to do is go a little lower front and rear. Is there such a thing as a 1/3 drop?? Or is there any way to lower just the F/R 1" and then use the GF shackles??

Also is there a difference between the suspension in the V-6 and V-8??? I have the 4.2 but in doing a little shopping around it looks like everything is made for the V-8.

You can do a 2/3 drop using Eibach part # 35112.540. 2inch coils/3inch leaf springs. all for a little over $300 if you can do the labor.

I had the same idea when I first lowered my truck. I ordered the 2" Eibach front lower coils and the Belltech 1" spacers for a total of 1" front drop. The spacers were late arriving so I dropped the front 2" with just the coils. After seeing the 2" drop, I cancelled the 1" spacers. To answer your question for a 1/3 inch drop, you could go with the Eibach 2/3 and get the 1" Belltech spacers.

Well with the fact that I am looking more to "fill the gap" than actually lower the front, I could get the same thing by going with a slightly taller tire and just lowering the back correct???

That is one way to fill the fender gap. If that is all your trying to accomplish. I think that look is fine on a 4x4, just my opinion. I lowered mine for that same reason, the fender gap on the ford trucks is ridiculous. But i also lower my trucks for the performance and handling benefits. The higher spring rates on the drop kits make our trucks handle and drive more like a car. Plus they look so much sexier!!! By the way I like your new "SCOOT"!! I ride an 2003 HD FXSTB Night Train.

Well I do want to fill the gap but I would also like better handling as well. I ran the Eibach Pro Kit on a Focus that I used to have and it handled like a dream. Can I use the Eibach Pro Kit springs and dampers on a V-6??? On the Eibach site it says for V-8 only.
