Its made by Suncoast Creations. it is fully functional ram air.. and has functional heat extractors. The price isnt cheap.. you might find it for 750 bucks. its made out of fiberglass and it fits like a glove.

do you think this would be worth it for me or would it be a better bet to just get the non functional hood scoops that closely match those scoops? did you notice any more power or anything when you put that hood on?

I dont remember getting laughed at for my hood scoop. It was for a dodge ram, but as you can see it fits the 97-03 f150 too. It has to be drilled and bolted on though which is the only bad thing, but it looks great.

Also dont forget the fact that you have to get it painted. So $800 for the hood and then $300-500 to paint it. I was going to go that route until i found the dodge scoop would work.

is your scoop functional? oh also what about just getting two of the scoops and having them mounted and just fill the gaps so it looks like part of the hood but isnt functional?

You can make any scoop and hood functional with a jigsaw, sawzall, or cutoff wheel. Mine wasnt. Fitting two side by side would not work, they are too wide to fit on the raised middle panel of the 97-03 hood lines. Do you absolutely have to have 2 scoops? There are some other hoods out there, but suncoast is probably your best bet unless you just put the lund scoops on. The reason they look out of place is because the mounting flange is external.

hey red, the scoop was absolutely perfect. It fit in every curve of the hood. As far as two, there is no way, it gets wider towards the windshield which would make to to wide to fit at the windshield end.
