why post pics up on a forum to share with others, but get butthurt if others don't like what you like..? like coobies reiterated, it's not about what we like its what you like cuz it's your truck. but don't start ur period jus cuz others don't like it

 

I post pics to share. I like all comments, but when they start leaning towards snide things starts to head a little overboard. Comments like overkill, tacky, comparing them to the fake Buick vents comes to mind. Making a comment is fine but making comments like that isn't productive behavior in a message board setting.

 

but ur taking it too personal man. everything on this forum isn't about being productive. some of it is just pure interaction and opinionated commenting. and i don't think he meant it in an insulting way..

i compared it to the vents because they're both very similar, only difference is you call yours saleen vents.. you don't drive a S331, you drive an F150. the vents are not functional at all and are applied with adhesive.. you applied yours because you feel they improve the looks of your truck relatively inexpensively.. as do the people who buy the AutoZone vents... what's the difference?

 

I'm not taking it personal at all, all I'm saying is the snide comments aren't necessary, though you continue with them. You seem to thing I'm taking it personal, which I'm not. That is your failure.

First off let me say i like the vents Steath it has a symmetrical flow with the handles lile you said. If Ford put them on Saleen's what are people saying about them.

Everyone else dont yap back at the man when he stands up for his truck. Its like someone telling you your wife is tacky, a real man wont let that happen. To make matters worse its his truck, something a man cherishes more. If you dont like it keep your comments to yourself.

if you don't like it you have the right to voice an opinion which is what the people who didn't like it did.. nobody maliciously attacked him or even said anything in an insulting manner.

and that was not a good simile.. trust me, i've been there. people have not liked things on my truck and disliked them tastefully and disliked them rudely.. but i do not mod my truck to gain the approval of others so I am not displeased by the comments of others.


and c_ulater, nice sig btw! is that a typo in your second sentence b/c the comma separates those into 2 completely opposite ideas..the 2nd one being my point.. you can say it without being rude. which is what i was doing.

I stand corrected, Saleen, a premier manufacturer of limited edition, high-performance vehicles decided they looked good and put them on there.

And who would say the Saleen S331 looks tacky?

 

hahaha oh shoot, that helped me pass 10 minutes. stealth, i love your truck man. maybe if you PTM'd the vent along with the handles it would add more class to it. either way, im jealous of it. i want to build my next truck up like yours only i want to add a little go under the hood to take advantage of the drop.

 

yea ptm is what i was thinkin omg that'd be f'n sexy. or those kits they make for the functional vents.

and big red, i'm not trying to argue with him about what he did to his truck..as it seems you are..? what's the deal. I wouldn't say the S331 looks tacky, but I would say the vents do.. as I already did and since we're talking about it.. the S331 has an ugly rear end imo
