I just put in a new Alpine 7892 head unit, Infinity 605 componants in the front and 5 x 7's in the rear. The installer placed the tweaters and mids in the factory speaker hole in the front to save the stock speaker look. What I was wondering is will this reduce the sound enough that I should have them remounted elsewhere?

 

If you want go sound Quality, I would suggest installing a set of "kick panels". They allow an "almost" equal path to your ears and the improvement of the stageing in greatly improved!
