usacoustics usx-4085-- run sub at 2ohm?

specs say

120x4 at 2 ohms, 85x4 at 4ohms

240x2 in bridged mode. doesn't say ohms..

i'm a stereo newb and am looking for a 8" sub. have my eye on a few 4ohm dvc subs which would equal 2ohms. right? the more i read the more confused i get. i'm going to make a box and install in my center console. '97 150 sc. running 6.5 kappa components on one channel the sub on the other. factory hu. any advice?

looking at:
BA 8.5 proseries. can't find any online prices.
jlaudio 8w3v2 and 8w1
rf......punch z

figure my box will work out to be .3-.35. i don't want killer bass just decent bass....

tia,

doug

They say .......2 ohms......in STEREO mode........not BRIDGED........get a 8 ohm DVC and parallel it to 4 ohms.....this way you don't get the voltage drop from a series configuration, and run the amp bridged on channels 3-4 to the sub.
