Phil,
Just curious, why do you need a 500+ watt amp when you don't even know what subs you are going to use?

When planning a system, you have to start with the end...make sense?

To answer your question, 10's would be best for your application. There are many brands available, but you need to find subs with a shallow mounting depth. You also need to look at the recommened air space for each sub.

If you are on a tight budget, stay away from subs that need lots of power (i.e. 500 watts rms each). Remember, if you want the subs to perform you have to feed them the recommended power (RMS).

Hey Check out my gallery I have the same seal as you. I put 10" Kenwoods back there in there own boxes. one on each side then I put the amp in the middle. I actually came upon the subs by accident they were last years model on sale. So they were pretty cheap. I dont know the model of em but look at the pic in my gallery.

Audiomobile EVO 10"... 5.0" mounting depth

Boston Acoustics Pro 10".... 4 3/4" mounting depth

Alpine Type R 10".... like 6" mounting depth (doubt it will fit)

Not sure on RF subs and other brands at the moment.

I've got a 2001 Ext. Cab.... I found that around 5" is about the max without lifting the seat.

CDT MS-100 only needs 150w into 4-ohms. Cheap, quality, and should fit under your rear seat.

i am raising the seat 2" and built a custom box. 2 MTX 8000 fit in there with .5" left and the recomended volume. The amp is in the mail so i dont have it hooked up yet. I just took off the seat...took out the supports and added 2" wood spacers, the box now acts as teh "support" looks nice....hoping ot put an oak finish on there or soemthin unique in the front. And the reason i wanted a 500+ amp is because i knew what Watt range sub i was going to buy....thanks for all the input yall
