Question Stuff a Q-Logic??

Should a Q-logic box be stuffed? My sub requires .97 cu. ft. according to Polk, but it seems to be constrained by the Q-Logic. Maybe I'm hearing things, though. The reason I ask, is that the Wal Mart unversal box I had before seemed to hit deeper and harder with the same sub, and it was stuffed to the gills with Polyfill.,,,,,98

Stuff it, if it doesn't sound any better you will only be out a couple bucks.

i would agree...but there are endless arguements about how well polyfil works..some peepl swear by it and others says it doesnt do a thing...if you r not happy with what you have now try it and if it doesnt work your out a few bucks....

Your hearing the difference between a "wooden" box and a "plastic" box, that is if you have the Q-form custom box.

Beside, I can tell the difference in the construction of alot of boxes, whether it be MDF, HDF or 5/8" vs. 3/4", you would be surprised how much difference it can make.

If you stuff you box with polyfill, just stuff only about 1/3 full.

GOOD LUCK.

Thumbs up

It's the universal single 10" box, black carpet(felt) and trapezoid shaped. I'm going to be buying the new sub sometime this week, and I will try the stuffing during the process. Another question I have, is why they use such small cheesy wire inside the box?? I have this HUGE (to me) 12 gauge speaker wire running to the box, and then they have this stiff 16(?) gauge wire running to the sub. Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose of the heavy gauge wire?? Thanks guys, I appreciate the suggestions!!,,,,98

kinda...if it were a long run then yes but if it a real short run then the wire wont make all that much of a difference....
