New subwoofer setup?

Ok I've pretty much made up my mind and its going to be 8 of these subs from CDT.

Eight 8inch woofers should be pretty wild and interesting?

any of you guys ever listen to these subs? They look like they sound nice from the various reviews I have read.

well 8 have pretty good sq but as far as cdt im not so sure about their subs....but when you do a lot of smaller sizes subs its kind of a different type of sound the bass isnt as 'meaty' and wont go as low

i plan on using 8 as midbass... so if you want something that can hit the lows real well step up to even a 10 or bigger

RTKILLA - you might want to talk to ROBDUDE 30 about these subs - he had 4 of them in his SCrew and I think he was having problems with them. Last I talked to him, he was looking to replace them.

Yep. LightningCrew is correct. I may rebuild my enclosure one more time with max airspace, but if I don't get some more SPL I'm going to go with something else. The CDTs are an excellent SQ sub, it just takes a bunch of them to get loud. 8 might get pretty loud, but you are going to need 3.6 cubes of air to be on the high side of the range.

If you do go with them, you will be very pleased with SQ. BTW, The Zeb has them on sale right now at a crazy price.

well definately...8s are generally sq subs they arent ment for spl for one they dont have a lot of excursion and two there isnt alot of cone area...generally 8 are used for midbass...id say put a pair of 10s or 12s in the back and put a pair of 8s in the back and get some good comps up front.
