another wiring question

Would i be better off running my 2 subs bridged into 8ohms or running them off the 2 speaker channels? I have an american pro 600w cheapo special. Its not 2 ohm stable. I wanto wire it up to get the most power and sound i can. Thanks.

99.9% of amps are not 2 ohm stable......in mono/bridged mode. Even though the say "2 ohm Stable"....they mean in STEREO, 4 ohm MONO is the same LOAD on the amp as 2 ohm STEREO.

Just wire them up in STEREO .........4 ohms each, there is a voltage loss when wiring in SERIES, if your box is 1 chamber, then you will need to "MONO" the signal coming into the amp with a "Y" connnector.

GOOD LUCK>

So you think i will get more power running them in the 2 stereo outputs than bridged in series at 8 ohms?

Most definitely, the lower the ohm load the more power the amp can produce.

This subbox.net box is awesome. It sounds 110% better with the 2 subs than the single. Thanks for the input.
