Right now i have 1 10 kicker in my 98 f150 scab under the rear seat. I have the chance to buy a jl audio box that holds 2 8's. Any opinions on which would have the best sound? I listen to anything from alan jackson to rob zombie. Thanks.

 

I have the JL Stealthbox................sounds just fine, its simple math though,..............2-8's will sound "louder" than 1-10, your moving more air space. Keep in mind the jl box is FACTORY TUNED for the truck. I want to sell mine, I have captain chairs up front with the big console, I'm gonn fiberglass a box for 2-8's or 1-10 in the console.

I had the Q-logic box in my truck for about a week with 2 8" Kicker Comp VR's and it sounded great! However, I returned the subs and amp (Was running them with the MTX 83?? series amp) upon a job merger/relocation. Anyway, the two 8"s sound great and isn't a bad way to go. The boxes fit nicely under the seats and leg room really isn't an issue. Anyway, just my two cents!

Also, for anyone who may be interested, I still have the box. (just the box-no subs) It has the tan factory finish, so it matches any of the tan factory finishes in the supercab F-150's from 97-00. I bought a box off of subbox.net and ordered another 10 kicker comp vr. That should handle my stereo needs (i hope). I dont think i can get too much more under the seat anyway.
