Cool Anyone have a Probox Sub box?

Does anyone have a Probox sub box in their trucks? I saw these at WWW.proboxrocks.com and they make one for Supercrews and look to be better than Subbox.net at about the same price. But they are only sold through dealers. I spoke to a dealer here in Austin,TX and they said they are awesome boxes. The boxes are 5/8" MDF with a thick high solid Laquer coating in black and can be painted to match your carpet color. I spoke to the builder and they are CNC machined on the custom boxes like the Supercrew so that the fit is perfect on every box. The Supercrew is around a $100.00. I think I will get one of these next week.

ProBox

They look like they make a great box.. but man the mounting depth on all the boxes that they (R/T, Subbox.net, ProBox) make for the 10 is shallow. Its very hard to find a shallow 10. When i was searching for a 10 for the R/T box from www.sounddomain.com there were only 3 that I could find. One Kenwood Sub, One Pioneer sub, and i can't remember the other one. I really don;t like being limited to 3 subs. You could possibly modify the boxes like other's have in the past, but if you spending any amount of money for anything why should you have to modify it to work?? And on top of that.. you have to consider the Cubic Feet inside the box too..

Thumbs up

The woofer that I'm using is a Subwoofers.com Rage 10 and has a mounting depth of 4 7/8" and works very well in as little as 0.5 cu ft, so 0.6 cu ft will give it a QTC of 0.86 which is very good numbers for a car audio sub. Thanks.

The subbox.net box is sweet. I installed mine last month and it fits like a glove. My old 10" MTX Roadthunders from the kicker box I had in my previous car fit perfectly. The only thing I worry about is the space behind the magnet vent with the fiber fill.

I have the flip up seat with the hinge in the back and the 40 split on the driver's side. The one-piece box from subbox.net has the notch for the support. I haven't raised the seat yet. I'm still using my old Pioneer amp and no multichannel so I have it mounted under the passenger seat. When I get the MTX amps I want next year I will raise the seat and mount the amps on top of the box. The seat completely folds down but it won't latch unless someone sits on it. Since the seat pivots about 2" from the back the seat won't completely flip up without sliding the box out. I wish this wasn't the case because I don't like to put my golf clubs on the leather seats.

That's the one. I did measure it when I received it to check before I installed everthing but don't remember the exact depth but it was around 5 inches. Just keep in mind that if you use a vented sub you need room behind the magnet where the vent hole is. My 10" MTX Roadthunders are less than 5" so I didn't worry. The box was shipped 5 days after I ordered it which was the limit noted on the website. Remember these guys aren't a big corporate mail order company, so don't expect same day shipping.
