reference 5x7 for sell

I just got the door off and it really wasn't that bad, but when I played the speaker it really didn't sound that much better than stock. I am not going to invest the money into getting a new HU or an amp so I am thinking that I will just sell the speakers. I wanted to give you guys a chance to buy them first before I put them back on Ebay. I will give you a link to the sell and I will tell you that these are in very good condition. I had them in my truck for no longer than 5 minutes. I will also throw in a set of the adapters made by Metra #72-5600. They fit the 2002 supercrew and whatever else fits this model number.

I bought them for a little over $30 plus $9 shipping and handling. I will take that amount or make me an offer.

Question

Speakers need time to break in before they sound good. I just installed 4 JBL GTO7525 speaker in my Supercrew. The first 10 minutes I hated them and thought the stock speakers sounded better. After approx. 1 hour of play they sound great and are getting better the more they are played. I build home speakers and usually break them in 30-60 hours depending on drivers used(subs take more break in than a 5 1/4" speaker). Tweeters are usually very bright in sound and then will mellow and sound smoother. Give them time and you will probably like them. For home speakers I hook one speaker up out of phase(reverse + and - lead) and other in phase(normal) and face them face to face and turn up volume while at work for 8-12 hours and you would not believe how much better a speaker will sound. The out of phase and facing them together cancel out alot of the sound so you don't have loud music all day long.
