Exclamation Rate your Pioneers

I'm about to get some Pioneer speakers within the next 2 weeks. I'm looking at their 3-way and 2-way for the front and back. I don't have the model numbers right now, but i'll post 'em later. I'm on a budget so i'm looking for something reliable and good. How do you like yours?

I've had the same pair of 2-way 5x7's in my last 2 trucks and I have no complaints at all. I've pounded the crap out of them and they've given me no grief what so ever. They're at least 5 years old and I'd definetly buy them again. I also have an older Pioneer component set (5 1/4) and they worked really well in my Ranger. They might not be the best speaker out there but "bang for the buck" I think they're awesome. My brother has a newer pair of 2-ways and 3-ways in his Ranger now and he likes them as well.

Hope this helps,

JGD

I put the Pioneer TS-A6895 6x8 2 way horns on my '01 Scab with premium sound/changer. Bass is much better, treble is somewhat better to my ears( but I suffer from some hearing loss). They need a little more power to drive than the stock premium sound speakers.

My 16 year old daughter asked if I put a sub in the truck when she heard them for the first time.

I also put a double layer of B Quiet Extreme on rear floor and behind rear seat back. Doing the same with all 4 doors made more difference as far as road noise is concerned and also helped bass.
