Question About Mirrors
I know this probably isnt the right place to post it but subs are the cause so this is where i am putting it. I was wondering how do you all keep your mirrors from falling off because of the bass? That is if any of you have had this problem. thanks
I had an S-10 that the mirror fell off because of the BASS. I honestly can't remember what brand it was but I put some heavy duty contact adhesive on it and stuck it back on the window. Never had a problem after that. Hope this helps.
JB weld doesn't sound familiar. It's been 4-5 years ago since it happened and I got rid of that rig back in 99. I believe it was something I picked up from a local hardware store, but that's about all that comes to mind. I'm not even sure of that. Ask around at your local Pep Boys or other parts store and see if they have something there that you can remount the mirror with. Sorry, that's all I got. Hope you get it fixed so it doesn't happen again.
BTW, what kind of setup you have? In my S-10 supercab I had a 15" JL with 300watts of Orion power going to it that caused the mirror to shake loose. It was cool being right in front of the sub

As it stands now i have nothing hooked up except a non factory hu(Deh-6400) . It was just a major worry of mine that it would fall off when i add 2 JL10w6's in a downfire box with a jl 500/1 powering the subs. Also putting in JLXR570-cs 's components powered by a JL 300/4. My truck will be covered in sound deadening material and i will have a 1.5 farad cap so i dont lose any power. Thanks for your reply
