6 or 8 " sub for back door of SCrew?

Has anyone tried to find a small 6 or 8 inch sub that could be mounted in the back door of a Super Crew? I think that good speakers in the front door and a couple of small subs in the back door may be what I need, but I do not know if they would fit.
Thanks

Post Hi DISPENSER4HIRE. Welcome.........

It would be difficult, but not impossible to put a sub in the back door of a SCrew. The speaker mount, if you haven't seen it yet, is a small plastic box screwed to the door and is not much bigger than a 5x7/6x8 speaker. The depth is very limited as well. You would have to do some major modification to the door and if you got a sub to fit, you would have to worry about dampening to get rid of all the little rattles.

You can use a small sub or 2 to get some pretty good bass, I just wouldn't try it in the doors. I would recommend checking out the thread "Lets see your subs" for some good ideas and pictures on where to mount a sub in your SCrew.

Good Luck!
