Talking New Guy help me please

I'm not smart at speakers with that being said I want to get some bass. I was thinking of the pioneer 4400 head unit and the 6*8 three ways. I went to a local guy who has been doing this for a while he said he could build a box for one 10" for $100 is this about right?
I was also going to go with the 562 amp and the 254c 10" would this give me good bass but not too much?
Also I saw a box for one 10" in Crutchfield and wanted to know if anyone has used this in a reg cab.
Thanks in advance!!

if you look at the dimensions on the q-logic boxes from crutchfield, you'll notice that they are like 30"s long. they aren't very tall or wide, just long...

Because I rarely have enough time on my hands, I decided to buy a pre-contructed box by Q-forms. Hold's a single 10" sub.

That what you're looking for? You might be able to squeeze in a rag cab behind the seat.
