I got the 10" down fire last March. The installation was a snap. Just slide it under the seat. It fits so snug you don't have to attach it at all. I got the excursion 10" that the guy from Subbox.net reccomended and I am not impressed. I have a punch 40 amp pushing just the sub with all it has and hardley any bass. As far as the box goes it is well made and coated with a material.
My previous truck was a Dodge ram quad cab and I had the Q-logic box that fit as an extra console in the back. It had a downfiring 12" sub and it would rock the windows out of the truck.
If I had to do the speakers in the screw again, I would do what they did in an issue of truckin magazine. I would mount 2 10s" where the 2 cargo holes are at behind the seats. I have that area closed off and made to look stock with the 10s enclosed. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you just need more power. I don't know what your fosgate is rated at but you should have an amp that's rated at or near the same RMS of the sub. Then you'll start to notice more bass!

I got a box from subbox.net and I can say that it is a great box. Everybody that hears my system never believes that all I have is 1 10in. woofer(JL10w6). The box fits nicely under the seat. You can view some pics by going to my webspace link below.

You need alot more power than this. I use a Phoenix Gold XS-2500(rated at 500X1) running 250X2 to run the single dual-voice coil woofer. I thought it would be too much, but it's not.

Talking Installed

Ok... I finally got mine installed for the crew cab. I put in a JL Audio 10w6 with a rockford punch 360. I also thought this would be too much power but it's definately not. This really sounds pretty good. For the money the box is really good. I would recommend that you take it somewhere they can seal it up real really well.

I have a subbox.net box with 2 polk ex108's bridged to a precision power 2400 with a 1 farad cap. I have a hard time keeping the rear view mirror on the windshield. Very well made box, quality is great.

Waiting for Box

I ordered the box for my truck a couple of days ago and I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. I'll let you guys know and I'll post some pics when I get it and after I install it.

As will I, Unfortunately my order has been pending for two weeks now, and getting an e-mail response has been likened to pulling teeth out of a alligator. Oh, I can get a hold of them by phone after three or so trys but all I want is my stupid conf #'S!!!

I have one in shipment as well. ordered it on the 24th of Jan. I was told they had some holdup with their products, and shipment was delayed as well.

I finally got a UPS tracking # yesterday. So I hope it gets here soon, my system sounds a little flat right now!

Got the box in last night

Finally came yesterday. I had it installed w/o any problems and it sounds pretty darn good. I have a Polk EX10 sub in the enclosure (150RMS Watts handling) with 120 RMS watts being delivered to it. Fills out the cab very nicely.

All in all, Im very happy with the subbox.net enclosure.

Would it be worth getting the downfiring 10" box from subbox.net to replace an upfiring dual 8" box? My current box for the 2 8s are not ported. I am running JL Audio 8W6 right now. I'll be running a JL Audio 10W6 if I switch boxes. Just wondering if it would be any improvement in booming.
