The JL subs will fit no prob. Which model are you considering? The JL W3 subs are available with dual 2, 4 or 6 ohm impedance. I would use the dual 4 ohm wired in parallel for a 2ohm load.

The w6 is a 6ohm dvc sub. wiring in parallel gives a 3 ohm load.

yes the subs will get 225w ea if wired in stereo at 4ohms, they will get even more if wired as a 2ohm load.

If you are really sold on the w3,s go with the 2ohm dvc and a jl 500/1 amp or a memphis 500d. wire the ea sub in parallel then in series to each other. this will yeild a 2ohm load and give you 250 watts into each sub.
if you are sold on the alpine amp, go with 4ohm dvc wired in parallel. this will show the amp a 2ohm load on each channel and give each sub around 300watts or so. thats a little over the rated for the w3 I think, but keep the gains down and they will be just fine.
