who has momo mm465s???
That depends...
The 465s will sound good by themselves if they have a good amp, but you need 75w -100w RMS to make them sing. Another set of speakers in the back will provide ambience, or fill, but you can't really hear them directly. A good set of subs really round out things. I'm running the 465s up front, Pioneer 6895s in back, and 2 10" MTX 6000s in a Thunderform. It's a pretty decent combination.
yeah...
I supplemented mine with a pair of polk dx7s in the rear, and powering them with an Alpine MRV F-307.... I've messed with the fader front and back and it definitely balances things out. I didnt go with another set of mm465s because all I was looking to do was expand the rear sound stage to supplement the subs under the rear seat. check it out...

I have looked at your pics many times ruune and it looks like a great setup. I am going to put dx7 in the rear but I am not going to hook them to the amp. I was thinking about the 2ch alpine 407 to run the momos and just the deck for the rears (alpine 7873).
Do you think the 407 will be a good amp for the momos? I have heard you need alot of power to run them to their fullest.
Also how do you like the momo subs?
thanks

The MRV F-407 is a 4 channel amp... just has a little more power than the 307, which I'm running. I think its a bit of an overkill, but it would sound pretty sweet. regarding using your head unit- the HU puts out an actual 27 watts, which enough to power the DX7s, but if you really want them to sing, I'd run them through the amp. That way you can control the gain and crossover frequency in order to obtain the optimal balance of sound. Believe you me.. I actually got done playing with it (turning up the gain a bit, and bringing down the crossover frequency) and it was another world. The MM465s and the DX7s are broken in, but I've still got another 10-20hrs on the MM100 subs so I havent really pushed them, but I can tell you that what I have heard from these subs is phenominal. Let me put it this way... my dad has a brand new '02 Acura TL Type-S w/ the premium Bose system. When you compare the sound quality and abundance of each setup, my polk setup wins hands-down. you bet my dad is jealous!
word.
oh yeah... for some reason, the ladies like to pile onto the seat above my subs.... wonder why that could be?

Polk told me I can run a amp with peak output of 150 watts? Circut city also has peak power listed at 45-150. Do you think that is too much power for them?
