Is this system complete plug and play?? How does it compare to the factory? I have a 2012 F150 Lariat with the Sony Nav system. Will this system work? Also, what about the center speak up on the dash? Any idea what it is..?

 

Night and day difference Mark. I own a 2013 f150 King Ranch with the Sony system. I bought my kicker from Rogel Ford I had it installed for $150.00 at best buy. The sub has an amp that requires power from the battery and is tapped off of the rear speaker. They replaced the four door speakers and though I have to turn the bass down to -3 it sounds amazing. I plan on replacing the two tweeters and center channel with Kicker replacements too and add sound dampening material to the doors. Eventually I will replace the head unit with an alpine X009 FD2 with the 9 inch display and gobs of functions. I am an audiophile and have a very discerning ear when it comes to music and fidelity. I was also a Sailor in the Navy where I learned the electronic theory behind audio reproduction. So go ahead and pull the trigger. I do not believe that you will be anything short of satisfied. Mark that is a 3.5" speaker. Not certain what the resistance value is. I have seen 2 ohm and 4 ohms.

 

I have a 2009 King ranch with the Sony and NAV system - will this kicker setup work with that?

Is the Kicker amp the same amp as the Ford and not necessary? Or is it more powerful??
