question. im upgrading my 05 xlt to lariat. i bought seats from an 08 lariat (after my dog decided to eat my cloth) and have purchased at great expense from ford a new main dash wiring harness and floor harness for the 08. ive made sure to get the harness that matches the vin of the 08 lariat.

i didnt see if the donor truck had a sub, but as it had the memory htd pwr seats id assume it did. i havnt purchased a factory sub unit yet as i want to wait and see what provisions the harness has.

but in my searching for used units i have come across 3 units that all look the same and have the same part numbers except for the first and sometimes last digit

7L3T-18C04-BA
4L3T-18C04-BB
5L3T-18C04-BA

does anyone have any idea of the difference between these? ive tried to search the part number on various sites but have come up short

 

also i just had the single disc tape unit with one harness plug, i was going to wait to purchase a different head unit until i see what is different. i may be doing research on a lost cause if the harness has no provisions for a sub or the audiophile head unit.

all i know is that the sound coming out of the 4 6x8 speakers suck right now
