Front Door Speaker Replacement- Door Panel Removal Procedure

We all know the front door speakers on these are horrible. I am changing them out all the time under warranty for being blown. In doing so I decided it was time for a video on how to remove the door panel without damage to get at the speakers and swap in aftermarket etc. Hope this helps!

On the door handle, you can pop the clip on the front edge and pull the whole handle out, leaving the cable attached. It's actually faster and easier.

Yes easier but I am just used to taking the whole door panel off intact so nothing is dangling in the way for bigger repairs like door latches and window regulators and also this way there is no risk for damage to the chrome handle.

Yeah I'm with Red on this one: just pop the side clips and slide the whole handle assembly out. Much less chance of damaging the cable and clips that way. I throw a bubble wrap baggy over the whole thing and zip tie it to the metal clip in the middle where the handle bolts to so it's not just dangling while I work.

Don't forget that little clip that the door handle bolts too. Pesky little things like to fall out and fall to the bottom of the door. Found that out the hard way and had to cut the plastic lining.

Edit: this was after I installed my new speakers with spacers and didn't feel like unscrewing them which I should have done. I just don't like screwing and unscrewing into MDF.

What aftermarket speakers do you guys recommend using the original stereo with no external amp?
