I just purchased a new 2014 XLT Supercab, and I'm swapping out the door speakers front and rear. I had purchased 2 pairs of JBL GTO 8628 speakers to use in the 2005 that I will now use in the '14. Are the lower OEM front door speakers 2 way? I know it has a separate tweeter in the upper windshield molding, so I could use the JBL component speaker kit. For my usage the OEM head unit will suffice..... Also are the front door speaker grilles removable without removing the door panel? Most of the threads I have looked at on my 2005 say you have to remove the panel, but I found that the speaker grill on the '05 comes off very easily, and allows access to the speakers without panel removal.
