Question Best place for a Lineout Converter?

So I have a JL 13.5 Shallow with a JL XD600/1 i'm looking to install. I will be adding it to my stock screen (My Ford Touch/Sony "700w") I've always liked the idea of adding a screen, but because I like the Sync and all that nonsense, i plan on keeping this one. Normally id tap at the door speaker, but seeing as I have the sub from the factory, would it be better to add a LOC to the harness for the subwoofer? My logic being that its already a "bass" speaker so would it sound better tapping there instead of the door.

Also, if I do have to go with the door speaker route, should I add it at the door speaker itself, or pull the headunit and add the LOC there since it's the Sony system and the door speakers have an inline amp?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I just did this to my 13 FX4, the best place is right at the amp output. It's under the center console right below the shifter. PM me your email and I can send you the wiring diagrams.

BTW, my sync still works along with everything else, I just have a lot more power and much better sound.

I'll have to look into that. Ive been following your build. I plan on doing something very similiar. I have the JL 13.5 shallow mount with a JL XD600/1 amp and for the doors i'll be running a JL XD 600/4 and im still trying to decide what door speaker setup i want to go with. All i need to do is order an LC7i get a custom box built for the sub and the door speakers Then I should be in business.
