Budget build
Hi guys, I thought I would post up some pictures on my budget build in my 98 regular cab.
HU- Pioneer AppRadio SPH-DA02
Speakers- Infinity Reference 6832cf front and rear
Subwoofer- Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1D
Amp- Power Acoustik GT5-2500
I have Peel and Sealed the whole cab, floor, doors and roof. I cannot believe what a difference that alone has made! These trucks are just a tin can on 4 wheels. For the time being I will fab up a 1 cubic foot sealed box and run the 5x7's in all 4 corners to see how it sounds.

some progress on the sub enclosure. The sub will sit behind the driver's seat, the amp will be mounted behind the passenger
dimensions are
42" wide overall
24" enclosure
9" bottom depth
13 1/2" height
6" top depth
this gives me the 1 cubic foot of volume I need with 5/8 MDF. I will still need to line the box with polyfil as per Infinity

Your Main power wire is at least a 4 gauge I hope. probably 0 gauge would be better. http://www.amplepower.com/primer/gauge/
Don't want to see a great install get messed up.

Looks like particle board to me too. I can see it falling apart pretty quickly.
Might just be the quality of the pictures, but the edges of the board make it look like particle board. If the board is real smooth on all sides, including edges, its most likely mdf, if it's rough or feels porous it might be particle board.
Did you carpet the box or anything? If not you'll want to at least carpet the face of the box underneath the sub, or something like to help the sub seal against the box to prevent air leaks and sound quality loss.

Do you remember how much you paid for that sheet of 5/8" MDF?
Thanks 01 gt f150. 1200 watt sub amp, but wired to a 2ohm load appx 900 watts.
