8" midbass

I installed a Sound Ordnance powered 8" sub (125-watt) a few months ago and it didn't take long before I wanted more bass. Getting ready to install a JL 13TW5 under the backseat powered by a JL 500/1 amp . My question is, since I have the powered 8" sub already mounted cleanly behind the backseat and don't need to move it to mount the new amp, would it benefit me at all to leave it and run it as a midbass driver?

So you'll be running the 8" with its own amp, in addition to the JL with its own, independent amp?

Yes. The 8" has a built in amp and the new sub will be powered with it's own amp. I was going to put a Y connector and split the RCA subwoofer signal from my head unit.

Its worth a shot since it is already their, but personally, I don't think you will even hear the Sound Ordnance.
Try it and let us know what you find out

Thanks for the replies. I installed the new sub last night and don't think there's anyway I would hear that little amp on the 8 if I hooked it up so I am just going to take it out. New sub sounds great!
