Sub assists please
The 2013 f150 sony you can kinda hear the music with the sub but I want to Feeeelll the music. I am looking at different configurations for subwoofers. I do not want to take up the entire under the seat of the back. It will need to be down firing so daughter doesn't hurt sub somehow. That being said do yall suggest 2x8" or 1x10" and why? Would love 2x10" but feel it would take up to much room. I was looking at the DC lv2 or lv3 speakers, thoughts?
Thanks Quad

DC makes some great subs, but they need some space unless you plan to run them sealed and even then they'll still need some. How much space do you have between the bottom of the seat and the floor?
DC level 2's or 3's may not work for you unless you have them stick out from the seat some and forward fire. The level 2's beeing shallower than the level 3's have a mounting depth of 5.5" and are pole vented like the level 3's. So your looking at about 5.5" of mounting depth, 1.25-1.5" of wood thickness for the box, about 1" or so for it to be able to vent so it doesn't burn out by overheating, and another 1.25-1.5" so the sub doesn't hit the floor or bottom of the seat depending on orientation which totals out to about 9" at the least.
