04 lightning space

Hey guys, need some help here. I've been keeping my eye on some ford lightnings for sale and leaning towards getting one. It's a black 04 ford lightning with 11,000 miles on it. I haven't seen it in person yet and haven't been inside one, I was hoping somebody has some info on how much room there is behind the seats and under them for room for a system with a couple subs and an amp. I'm trying to avoid putting anything in the bed like I've read people doing before also trying to avoid shallow mounted subs also. Thanks!

An 04? Didn't they stop making them after 03?

They had 04 heritage trucks and 04 Lightnings as well.

there isnt much space with the seat all the time way back. There is a plastic storage tray that can be removed

I knew about the heritages, wasn't aware they continued to make the lightning as well though.

My brother has an 04 lightning as well. I haven't examined it too closely, but it seems to have the same space as the standard cab trucks of that same year. When I had one (standard cab), there was room for a sub behind the seat and amp went under the passenger seat. Not sure of my sizing or specs, I was really new to all of this at the time and had someone else install.

I had 2 12" Alpine type R subs in my 2000 single cab F150, which is the same as the 03 Lightning. Also had 3 amps in it under the seats.
