Need some help guys, I travel 30 some odd miles one way to work. I have the sync sony sloppy system. We all know at max volume you can barely hear it let alone feel it with windows down. I am looking at Focal ps165 for the front but it has the center speaker in the dash. Would the center speaker also be a good replacement or would you just try to get something to cover it up? One last assist, Subs; I have heard dual 8', single 10" or something like the JL13 are all good. Would like something that has a tight punch when needed but enough rumble to give ya a massage, lol. suggestions?
Thanks

I know I will need amp or amps as well as a device to remove the sony signal stuff. As far as budget was hoping around 1500-2k. I am going to try to mount a amp rack behind the crew seats so as not to push screws thru the cab wall when mounting, would like to keep it clean
Oh you definitely have a great starting budget then. With that you could deaden the doors too to help the response of the speakers.
I would highly recommend the alpine type r shallow over the jl 13 shallow. It has more output, half the price, can take more power, requires around the same amount of space, and is only about an inch thicker. One of those in a sealed box will fill your truck with bass, two of them would be more than plenty to give you that rumble while still staying tight haha.

As for your budget... totally doable if you are doing most of the work yourself. For amps I'd look at ARC Audio, great sounding amps in a fairly small package. As for your subs... stick with something that requires very little air behind it. The less cubic feet of air, the smaller your box. Personally I love my 8" DVC from Image Dynamics. Focal makes some great drivers, but they are pricey.... Perhaps look at matched mid/tweets from Mmats, ARC, or similar.
