I have Image Dynamics speakers in my truck and I absolutely love them, the sound is crystal clear with no distortion no matter how high i turn up the volume. A good amp is a must with these though, sound just running off of a headunit is kinda lacking. I had these same speakers installed in my previous car, and now they're in my truck, and still perform like they did new.

I have the Type R's and I like them. Running 150 RMS to each side.

That's what I went with in the end the Type R's .Have not tossed them in yet. But will be running 150 per side up front passive with tweets and 150 a side for rear fill without the tweets.

Should get plenty loud and clear. What kind of substage will you be running?

3 of the new type R 12'' sealed the center sub get 1000 rms that one gets a lower range Hz just to reinforce low notes . And the 2 ends get 500 rms slightly higher Hz . All subs down fire lifted off the floor 6 inches and sealed at the back and sides of the floor. Kinda like a large slot port pushing only out the front . The inside of the 3 chamber boxes are layered with 3/4" 3-layer composite damping material sides and back witch really helps tighten thing up and kill any hollow box noise .

Sounds like you've got a pretty solid plan. I haven't heard of anyone running different subs at different frequencies, but it makes sense. Should sound good!

They are all matched same subs .So they don't cancel out .I had them running with my older 6.5 in the doors . They sound really good crossed over at 55 and 65.

I've got SPR-60C's in my Mazdaspeed3 and they are awesome, didn't hesitate a bit to order a set for the new F150.

I like the SPR-60C they get loud and clear .I have a full set up front on the doors .The Mid speakers only in the back doors with the extra tweets from the back on the kick panels up front . They are crossed over at 90 hz .The doors get 150 watt per side .The 2 mids get 75 watt per side and the kick tweets get 75 per side.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I am considering installing either of these two component speaker sets in my 2011 F150 Supercrew (lariat).

I've tried researching but not getting a definite answer regarding installation on either of these two speaker sets. It seems as if both of these have been installed successfully.

If this is the case, I would like to know on either set how the install went? What specifically had to be cut, trimmed, used, modified? How was fitment? Depth issues? Sound deadening?

any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
