adding subs to my 2012 ford

I've shopping around and doing research and trying to come up with the best possible stereo system to put in my 2012 supercrew. I'll be running it off of the stock head unit without the nav system. I listen to all types of music from Country, rock, rap and metal. I've had Pioneer shallow mounts, JL audio stealth Box, Fosgate and Memphis is my last 2 trucks. All of the stereo installers in my area are recommending the JL Audio 13" shallow mount. I just can't seem to convince myself to pay that much money for that set up. I'm not competing in stereo competitions, but I enjoy a good, solid deep quality bass. I've narrowed my search down to 2 JL audio 10 w3v3-2's in a ported down fire box made by Fox Acoustics and either a JL Audio HD 750/1 or Rockford Fosgate power series 1000 watt amp. What is everyones' thoughts on this set up and do you think that there is something that would sound better. I'm not a big shallow mount fan because it's hard to find one that hits the highs, mids and lows. If I were to get SM, i'd either go with JL Audio 13 or the Stereo integrity (if it's ever available.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not in anyway any type of stereo expert, so please don't ask me any questions dealing with that.

Look into Sundown Audio SD2 sub. They are shallow mount at 4.75" and I hear nothing but good things about them. They are also very reasonable $150. I have a single 10" just waiting on getting the rest of my stuff before I install my system. It's a very beefy sub!!

From what I've read, the Alpine Type-R thin looks like a good shallow mount sub.

The Polk MM series is good as well, but it looks like the prices on them have increased quite a bit. @ $120 or so they were a great value.

I just looked at the Sundown's. They look like good subs, but it's hard for me to stray away from subs that i'm familiar with. I'm bouncing back and forth between putting 2 of those JL Audio Shallow mounts or the other JL audio subs that i mentioned above. I haven't listened to the Alpine yet, but i've heard they're not too far away from JL audio.

What are some sub woofers that would fit in this box and sound good?
