New box

New box

Well I've been working ann a new box for the last week and a half finally finished it tonight minus the subs being wired.

Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out since I have never done one this complicated.

very nice box man. i am planning to build a box here soon how much airspace did you end up with and are those 10s or 8s?

Yes they are 8's. Atomic AP8's actually. 1000 watts rms.

~2.8 ish tuned to about 41 or 43 hz

Your rear seats lock at that angle hey?

I have a 02 scab. It's a Struggle to get 2 cf from under the seats.

I do have a seat lift and yes they lock at that angle. There is actually about a fingers width of space between the top of the box and the seat. I'll get a pic of it installed tomorrow.

how much of a seat lift did you do?

I think i'll have to go that route to get the proper enclosure volume for my 12".

I could easily block it up with wood or mdf. I've seen some guys use alu. c channel which looks more stable. I have to run some numbers and look at what I have for stud length.

That's quite a bit of airspace for 8s and tuning is a bit higher than I would typically use. How does it sound? I bet its loud for 8s.
