Will this amp work with these subs?

I plan on building a box for 2 8" subs facing forward underneath my 2011 Screw rear seat. I got inspiration for the box from another member, coop1307. Just wondering if the subs will go good with the amp.

Subs:

Amp:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A1WRTEG7T8P2CK

I know the amp is not the best brand, but the price is awesome and it gets good reviews. Any suggestions?

No way to tell with the links you gave.

The sub is missing it's ohm load and the rms power of it.

The amp is missing what ohm load it does rms power at. But that "750x1" rating of rms power it does is gonna be more like 400 or so.

Here is more info on the subs:

Power Handling, RMS 250 Watts
Power Handling, Peak 1000 Watts
Sensitivity 91dB

Impedance 4 Ohms

Amp:
•RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 700 Watts x 1
•Total Power: 1500 Watts
•Max Power @ 2 Ohms: 1500 Watts x 1
•Variable Low Pass Crossover: 35 to 160 Hz
•Minimum Speaker Impedance: 2 Ohms

If not that amp, do you have any suggestions on one for those subs at or below $100?

Okay so the subs can wired in parallel to 2ohms and then you need an amp that can put out around 500rms at 2ohms.

But I still have no clue what the amp does at 2ohms considering it says it does 1500 but that's also the max power. But for a 63 dollar amp I can tell you it's gonna do no where near 1500 haha.

Thats for sure...no where near top of the line amp. I just bought the subs, so now I will look for a decent amp that puts out 500rms at 2 ohms.

Thanks for the help. Like I said, I am a tard with this stuff.

No problem man, finding a decent one under a hundred is gonna be kinda hard but it's definitely doable especially if you don't mind buying used.

According to the "manufacturer's" website, the amp is a class A/B amp, which will sound great but take lots of power just to operate. That, to me, is a no-go (just like many Sony amps).

Check out the Alpine MRP-M500, great amp and shouldn't cost a whole lot to obtain. That amp can push roughly 500Wrms @ 2ohms depending on the operating voltage of your system.

If at all possible, try to get an amplifier that is rated for a higher amount of power and make sure you tune your system correctly. This will give you plenty of "head room" when tuning your gains, so you get more clean sounding music, less noise, and less chance of clipping if tuned to the speakers.

All in all, you got great subs. I've always loved Infinity speakers, both home and car audio. They never cease to amaze me with their products. They may not be window shattering, but they do give you great bang for your buck. Take lots of pictures!!

That Alpine amp is definately do-able. The only thing is I want an amp with remotely adjustable bass **** so I cann turn it down really low when my 6 month old daughter is in the truck. I have seen some universal ones that hook up to the RCAs before going to the amp. Do you know how well these work?

Here is something like I am talking about:

Right on...going to buy it and finally have everything ready to go. Next step is to build the box whenever I can find some time.
