What to replace stock spkrs with???
I put Polk EX Series II 6x8s in the rear doors behind the factory grilles. These are pretty good speakers at $70/pair.
But the bulk of the mids and high come from Polk EX2560 separates in the front doors: mid/woofer behind the factory grilles, tweeters in the shark fins.
I have to agree with mreade about ubid. I got my 8" MTX sub for about $50, I think, including shipping (may have been about $40). And I got an MTX 250-watt subwoofer amp for about the same price.
A bit off-thread, but I also bought a 50" high-definition TV on ubid for $1300 - this TV retails for $3000!
happy hunting...

I was jsut diging around in some of the old stuff and found this.
Any of you still use this hi-temp mastic from Mcmasters industrial supply? If so does it stick well in hot weather and leave tar smell all the time. I have heard of people trying things like this and even with Dynamat to only have it fall off the door or ceiling in the heat.
Just trying to find the most econimical dampening material.
