Question Speaker upgrade options

Hey guys, looking to replace the stockers in my '08 SuperCab, front and rear. I've found four speaker sets that seem to offer good sound for the price (all $100-$130/pair) but I wanted some 2nd/3rd opinions...here are my top picks

Polk Audio DXi50

Infinity Reference 6832cf

Rockford Fosgate Punch P1572/1683

Alpine SPS-517

What do you think my choices?

Thanks Juice and gt--the DB series will fit in the '04-'08 body style, right? And are they 6x8s or what?

Never mind, I found them (5x7)

Check infinity, I used them for the rear 6x8's. Used Focal components for the fronts 6". The sound is amazing.

Here's my pick for budget 5x7/6x8 speakers.

For 50 a pair, they are good speakers.

Are they plug and play with a factory set-up? The reason I'm thinking of going through Crutchfield, as they include the necessary harness...I don't wanna start splicing wires if it is not needed.

Erik,

Thanks for the heads-up, but after looking at reviews on Crutchfield, I'm still thinking Polk Audio. I'm not looking to go supercheap, and I'm not looking to bust my eardrums with bass, either, but those particular Bostons just don't sound like what I'm looking for.

That's cool. I prefer Focal, best sounding speakers I've ever owned.

The polks look nice. Let us know how they sound when you get them in.

That's two for Focal. I'll look them up now, I think...lol

Whatever I decide on, I'll be sure to let everyone know about it once I get them and get em installed....

Im very happy w my 6.5" Alpine type r components. I had to cut about a 1/2" off the speaker flange on the mids but I feel its worth the trouble. IMO if your not going to put some tweeters in the front you are wasting a lot of sound on your legs in our trucks

Hey guys, I've got a lady willing to sell me the 4 main cab speakers from an '07 with the Audiophile set-up for $40. My truck does not have the Audiophile radio, sub or tweeters so would these improve my stock radio sound, or should I upgrade to one of my previous choices?

My brother has the full Audiophile set up in his '04 and it sounds great, for a stock set-up.
