New Subs coming soon?
New Subs coming soon?
I've decided that I want to get some subs, and from a local electronics shop which i have gotten everything else from.
I am getting two 10 inch Kicker CVT subs, a 1200 watt Amp (Kicker maybe),
a box, I believe he said it was was with that plastic stuff, reminded me of a spray in bedliner of sorts.
all for $400-450
I was wondering if this setup sounds good, and the price is right. I plan on putting both of them under the back seat.
Thanks alot

You can get those subs for around 140 online for the pair.
The price of the amp depends on which one your looking at, but 1200 is way too much for those subs unless that's 1200 max not rms, those subs only need about 800rms total. But for a decent amp to run them especially if it's kicker I'd expect to pay around 150-225 for it. Kicker amps are nice, pricey but amazing quality, underrated and built to last. They're subs however are good but a little overpriced for what they are.
The box price depends on what kind of box it is, if it's just an off the shelf standard size box it'd probably run you like 60 online and you could build it yourself for like 20. If it's one of the ones made to fit under a back seat they run about 130-150ish online and it sounds like your talking about one of the fox boxes or pro boxes.
So overall the setup doesn't sound bad for a starter setup and the price is pretty good, but the final say on the price kinda comes down to what amp he tries to get you to get. Depending on the brand of the amp it could be completely worthless and still cost you like 150 bucks for it ha.
