12" Sub boxes

Hi everybody. I just purchased my first Ford pickup, well Lincoln Mark LT, supercrew. I work at a car dealership and ran into a good find, an 06 with 32K miles. I've been wanting a truck for a couple of years and finally got it. I love it so far.

I've got 2 12" Cerwin Vega HED's I've had for years. Still bump like brand new. I don't want to build a box, but if I have to I will. I'm looking for a place to buy a good enclosure to put under the rear seat. I will just go with 1 sub if necessary, but I'd like both.

Please give me some input on where to go online or any advice in general. Also, I prefer not to do much customization to the seat as well. Thanks!

Fitting two 12's is gonna be pretty hard, one would probably be a lot easier and you'll probably have to build custom to the subs specs, especially if you want it to sound good!

So I've been reading more and more pages on my subject and it looks like I may be building a box. However, is the only way to go with 2 full size 12" subs require a seat lift?

Yup most likely, and probably a lot of angled cuts too on the box when you build it.

Has anyone had any success with the boxes offered on ebay? I noticed most of them suggest only shallows, but I REALLY WANT MYYYY SUBS! There has to be a way. I will not give up...

Look up the mounting depth of your subs, and the required space they need. Then compare, that'll tell you whether they'll work or not.

I have seen dual 12's done with a seat lift and a custom box. I was able to fit two regular 10's under the rear seat with some modification to the underside of the seats and a custom box. These subs have a mounting depth of 5 inches and need .5 cubic feet of air space per sub.

There is still about 1.5" to 2" underneath the sub to floor for output

The pictures prior to carpeting shows a little more clearly the space between the box and the floor. The box is closer to the floor in the front and is angled up as it goes back leaving more room for output

Here is a website I found with a dual 12 inch with a seat lift. Don't know anything about the box though.

http://www.supercrewsound.com/04F150SCrewUTSdual12.html

It is pretty expensive. I know if you dig around, the lift kit can be found cheaper. I was looking at it cause I have a set of RF 12 inch Power T1s and this is the only thing I could find that I could fit them in.
